Dr. Francis Gatt
Doctor of TCM and Acupuncture
Francis began her studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Acupuncture in 2004. She graduated with a Doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Massage Therapy diploma.
As a teenager, Francis completed culinary school and achieved her Red Seal Chef certification. Her interest in food science and herbology inspired her to go back to school to study nutrition. After completion of a Nutrition and Wellness Specialist Certification in 2004, she began a career in alternative medicine, as a nutrition and supplement advisor. Her love for herbology lead her to her studies in TCM.
“It is a profound honor to have people share their experiences with me in confidence. It is my privilege to create a safe and impartial space for TCM treatments."
Working with mental health gave way to studies in neurology, mental health and addictions, and suicide prevention. Francis has finished numerous certifications in applied suicide skills intervention training, mental health first aid, psychological first aid, non-violent crisis intervention training and cognitive behavioral therapy. She is an Emergency Medical Responder and is currently completing an advanced certification in mental health and addictions.

When she isn't at Origin, you may spot Francis riding her bike around Saskatoon. She loves frisbee and enjoys roller skating, hockey, weightlifting and cooking. As much as she loves to take courses and study, Francis rarely reads for leisure. Travelling to Malta is very important to her as she has a very large and very loud Maltese family!
